Fly Tipping

Data on fly-tipping reports in Northern Ireland

Fly-tipping is the illegal dumping of rubbish and large items on land that is not licensed as a waste ground, and is a criminal offence.

This dataset contains data on reports of fly-tipping made to former councils (prior to the reform in local government in 2015).

In some cases the report made may not relate to illegal fly-tipping (it may be a case of an overflowing bin/skip, or natural waste), and each collection may not cover all incidents of illegal fly-tipping that may have taken place in that council area over that period of time. Not all councils are included.
